Terms of Service

Effective date: 28 April 2026

1. What Slipstream is

Slipstream ("the Software") is a desktop application that transfers files between local volumes and third-party cloud storage providers using your own credentials. It is published by Rudra Pratap Singh ("we", "us"). The current version is provided free of charge during its initial release period; paid tiers may be introduced in future versions, in which case any changes will be reflected in updated Terms with advance notice.

2. Acceptance

By installing or using Slipstream you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

3. Your account, your files, your responsibility

4. License

The Software is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for your own purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or sublicense the Software except where applicable law explicitly permits. These Terms apply only to the Software as distributed by us through our official channels — the downloads linked from slipstreamapp.pages.dev.

5. Updates

Slipstream includes an in-app updater that checks our official release manifest for newer signed builds. You can install or skip any individual update; you can also disable the check by uninstalling the app. Older versions may stop being supported when they no longer interoperate correctly with current cloud-provider APIs.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Software to:

9. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its access at your cloud provider. We may stop distributing new versions at any time. These Terms survive any termination with respect to provisions that by their nature should survive (license, disclaimers, limitation of liability).

10. Changes to these Terms

Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above. We will give existing users reasonable advance notice before any change that affects pricing, scope of license, or how user data is handled.
